750 community action staff members participated in training provided, in part, through the CSBG/MACA partnership.

58 staff members received scholarships to participate in state and national training sessions.

10 staff members have studied and met the requirements to become Certified Community Action Professionals (CCAPs) bringing the total to over 109 CCAPs in Missouri.

42 client families increased their assets through Missourians Building Assets and purchased homes, increased their education or started a business.

11 partners and 230 children in Head Start shared their artwork, parenting tips and resources to produce a family-friendly 2007 calendar.

37,000 calendars featuring children’s artwork were distributed throughout Missouri.

1,397 children from 922 households received services that prevented them from becoming homeless.

$6.1 million was appropriated for emergency assistance for utility bills through a UTILICARE partnership between the Governor’s office, the Public Service Commission and the Network.

142 organizations nationwide used the Community Action Poverty Simulation to increase awareness of poverty and encourage action to address poverty.

18 individuals – representatives of the MACA Board, staff and Associate members – volunteered to lead the Association in developing a ten-year plan with high-impact strategies to end poverty.

47,500 client services recorded during the first three months of live use of the new MIS.
